About

me

Welcome friends, my name is Jeremy, I am a 33yr. web developer, entrepreneur, and student living with my wife, three year-old son and his dog Happy in an old farm house at the end of a long quarter mile driveway nestled deep in the vast expanse of mid-western farmland. Previously I’ve worked as a developer at a small web company, traveled the US as an artwork installer, traveled outside the US as a member of the US Military, and served up a couple (thousand) drinks as a bartender in between.

These days I prefer to stay a bit closer to home working full-time as lead developer and project manager for Papertree Design. I also have a hand in a small medical related start-up and do my best to scrape together enough time to finally complete my degree (psychology if you’re wondering, I’ll write more on that later). Occasionally I take some time to release a personal project, like this one (a WordPress theme) but most of the time it is about the client leading us to release projects like these. Overall, life is good.

This Site

This site is my little place to share thoughts, experiences, and ideas, plus it gives me a place to tinker. In late 2010 I closed down an older site, Viral Thinking, and ported around 75% of the content to this site so the archives go back quite a ways. While most of the older content is a bit out of date and in some cases embarrassing, you’ll find a few gems way back there.

Technical

The site was designed and developed in the browser using Coda to modify the Toolbox theme by Automattic. Most of the writing and editing takes place in Mars Edit. It runs on WordPress, fonts are provided by Typekit and it’s severed up by Media Temple.
